CITY OF MATI BESTED 2ND
among 12 participating ASEAN cities in the City Nature Challenge 2025.
Not bad for a first-time global participant with only 2-weeks of engaging local observers.
The iconic pawikan was even featured in its magazine (inset red), putting the city in the global map again for urban biodiversity.
Moreover, the city finished 9th and 11th among 80 Asian cities in most number of species and observations. And 43rd and 80th among 662 cities in the world.
Thanks to all 205 observers from different partner organizations and resort sponsors. ❤️💙
