The University of Mindanao Research and Innovation Center proudly presents Dr. Rodrigo C. Licayan Jr. as one of the distinguished conference judges for LUMINA 2026 – Joint Research Conference on Economy, Enterprise, Social Welfare, and Human Development.

Dr. Licayan is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, educator, and higher education advocate who currently serves as the President of the Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology (KCAST) in Kapalong, Davao del Norte. He brings extensive experience in educational management, research leadership, community development, and institutional transformation.

A prolific scholar, he has authored and co-authored numerous publications focusing on educational innovation, flexible learning, academic well-being, microfinance, SME development, community engagement, and emerging markets, with works presented and published in both national and international scholarly platforms. He is also actively engaged as an editor, reviewer, and research collaborator in various academic organizations.

Dr. Licayan is a JICA scholar who advanced his expertise in SME promotion and development in Japan, and his professional interests include entrepreneurship, microfinance, educational trends, and community development. As a visionary leader, he continues to promote research excellence, innovation, and community-responsive education, fostering collaborative and evidence-based initiatives for sustainable development and nation-building.
