Have you ever heard the term SAPOLA but had no idea what this means?

Well, wonder no more because today I am going to clear it up especially to newbies with bird pets.

SAPOLA means fat in the cloaca/vent area of the bird as a result of eating too mUCH seeds. What can we do to prevent this from happening? Only give 2-3 scoops of food or seeds AND GIVE FRUITS/VEGETABLES 2-3 TIMES A WEEK . If your bird has a sapola, place it in a flight cage and allow it to fly to help reduce fat in its vent area.
