Thinking about yourself might save you, but it rarely saves others. However, thinking about others will often save you and help them as well.(based on my experience).

Do not be consumed by the thought that your life is yours to live; your life is for others.

One class I attended taught this: "Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me.If you reverse that, it is the Devil himself.”

God simply wants you to love and think about others, not yourself, because He always has you!

This also reminds me of Prayer of St. Francis: "It is in giving that we receive."

I love setting goals. I love dreaming about specific material things in life.

But this catastrophic event in the Philippines made me realize that all the high-rise condos, minimalist modern houses, and mid to luxury cars mean nothing at my last breath.

It’s really just between me and God.
“Lord, are we done?”

Even before the typhoon and earthquake, I had already decided to take care of others, because I believe He will take care of me.

Now, that truth has been magnified more than ever:
What truly matters in the end is, have you loved others?

Stop playing God. ❌
