SUCCESSFUL ORIENTATION ACTIVITY!
The University Statistical Center successfully conducted the Excel Data Encoding Orientation for Statistical Analysis on March 7, 11, and 12, 2026, via Zoom and Google Meet.
The three-day activity was participated in by both graduate and undergraduate students from various campuses. The first session (March 7) catered to Graduate School students from Morong, Binangonan, and Pililla Campuses. The second session (March 11) was attended by undergraduate students from Rodriguez, Taytay, Cainta, Cardona, Angono, and Binangonan Campuses, while the third session (March 12) involved students from Morong, Tanay, Antipolo, and Pililla Campuses.
Throughout the sessions, participants were guided on the flow of statistical processes and trained on proper data encoding techniques using Microsoft Excel, helping them develop skills in organizing, formatting, and preparing accurate datasets for statistical analysis.
This initiative aimed to strengthen studentsโ competencies in research data management, minimize encoding errors, and promote efficiency and reliability in data handling.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our speakers and all participants for their active engagement and contribution to the success of this activity.
Together, we continue to build a community of data-driven and research-ready students!

The University Statistical Center successfully concluded Day 2 of the training โNo Assumptions Needed: Unlocking the Power of Non-Parametric Statistics", held on January 7โ8, 2026, at the Audio Visual Education Center (AVEC), URS Morong Campus.
Day 2 of the USC Training was marked by another engaging and insightful learning session led by Prof. Clarita N. Inofre. Participants deepened their understanding of non-parametric statistical methods, focusing on the MannโWhitney U Test and the KruskalโWallis Testโessential tools for comparing groups when data do not meet the assumptions of normality.
Through clear explanations and interactive discussions, the session strengthened participantsโ skills in selecting and applying the appropriate statistical tests for real-world research and data analysis.
A productive day filled with learning, collaboration, and a shared commitment to advancing statistical competence.
