7𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐀𝐘: 𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊, 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘

𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 8, 2026—At the CPSC Gymnasium, the 𝐂𝐒𝐏𝐂 341𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐍𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔) conducted its seventh training day.

The morning session started with a lecture delivered by 𝐏01 𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐋 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐎 𝐏𝐍, about 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑, which is the foundation of naval knowledge. The lecture discussed the importance of working with rope and learning the different types and classes of knots. The instructor also guided the cadets through hands-on practical training in knot tying. The lecture emphasized the importance of tying knots properly and how they can either endanger or save someone’s life.

The instructor also discussed 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑮𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒚. This lesson is one of the foundations of how the navy fights and defends itself. The ordnance focuses on the study of weapons, the names of firearm parts, types of ammunition, and the rules for the safe handling and storage of explosives. The lesson on gunnery focused on the practical use and operation of weapons. The cadets learned about targeting procedures, coordination, and proper communication during operations.

Overall, safety was the first and most important priority during the discussions. By the end of the day, the MS2 cadets had a deeper understanding that it takes 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 to become a proper naval cadet.
