In celebration of National ICT Month 2026, DICT Region VIII is bringing CYBER-SHIELD TUESDAY straight to Biliran Province to tackle the rising tide of localized cyber fraud, text scams, and e-wallet traps hitting our households, businesses, and government offices due to gaps in daily digital hygiene.

Answering the administration's presidential directive to aggressively build nationwide cyber resilience and ensure no local community is left vulnerable, the DICT Biliran Provincial Office is launching a decisive agency response. This session will unpack core cybersecurity principles, provide a direct scam-reporting directory, and reveal how to maximize your information security using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to proactively detect and block automated threats.

This initiative delivers a powerful before-and-after impact for our island. Biliranons will transform from vulnerable, isolated targets who are unsure of where to turn, into empowered "Digital Gatekeepers" fully capable of leveraging advanced tech like AI to protect their households, secure their workplaces, and confidently safeguard Biliran’s digital gateway.
