HIGH TIDE ALERT SA OLONGAPO AT ZAMBALES!

BASAHIN: Inilabas sa tide-forecast.com ang inaasahang pagtaas ng tubig-dagat (high tide) bandang 11:39 ng gabi ngayong Linggo, na posibleng umabot sa pagitan ng 1.17 metro hanggang 1.46 metro, kasabay ng mararamdamang epekto ng Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong), Nobyembre 9.

Ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), ang kombinasyon ng high tide at malalakas na hangin mula sa bagyo ay maaaring magdulot ng storm surge o biglaang pagtaas ng tubig sa mga baybaying barangay ng Olongapo, Subic, San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe, Botolan, at Iba.

Bunsod nito, mahigpit na pinapayuhan ang mga residente sa coastal areas na lumikas na patungo sa mas mataas na lugar bago pa man maramdaman ang high tide. Ang mga mangingisda at may-ari ng maliliit na bangka ay mariing pinagbabawalan ding pumalaot dahil sa mataas na panganib ng malalakas na alon at matinding bugso ng hangin.

Ayon sa mga Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) ng Olongapo at Zambales, nakaantabay na ang mga rescue teams, evacuation centers, at relief supplies upang agad na tumugon sakaling magkaroon ng pagbaha o paglikas ng mga residente.
