Let us carry the spirit of Christmas beyond this day—living with compassion, humility, and love for one another. Today we celebrate the grace-filled mystery of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, chosen by God and preserved from original sin from the first moment of her conception. In Mary, we see the beauty of God’s saving plan made perfect by His grace, preparing a pure dwelling for His Son. May her humble “yes” inspire us to live in holiness, trust in God’s mercy, and say yes to His will each day.

The Immaculate Conception is the Catholic belief that the Blessed Virgin Mary, by a singular grace of God and in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, was preserved free from original sin from the first moment of her conception. This truth was powerfully emphasized in 1830 when Our Lady appeared to St. Catherine Labouré in Rue du Bac, Paris, and revealed the Miraculous Medal, inscribed with the words “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee,” helping spread devotion to this belief throughout the world. In 1854, the Church formally proclaimed this belief as dogma through Pope Pius IX, affirming what the faithful had long believed. Just four years later, in 1858, Heaven itself confirmed this teaching at Lourdes, when Mary identified herself to St. Bernadette with the words, “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Finally, at Fatima in 1917, Our Lady revealed the promise connected to her Immaculate Heart: calling humanity to prayer, repentance, and conversion, and assuring the faithful that “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph,” a message of hope, peace, and God’s ultimate victory over sin.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
✠ Most holy Virgin, who wast pleasing to the Lord and became His
Mother, immaculate in body and spirit, in faith and in love, look
kindly on the wretched who implore thy powerful patronage. The
wicked serpent, against whom was hurled the first curse, continues
fiercely to attack and ensnare the unhappy children of Eve. Do
thou, then, O Blessed Mother, our queen and advocate, who from the first instant of thy conception didst crush the head of the enemy, receive the prayers which, united with thee in our single heart, we implore thee to present at the throne of God, that we may never fall into the snares which are laid out for us, and may all arrive at the port of salvation; and, in so many dangers, may the Church and Christian society sing once again the hymn of deliverance and of victory and of peace. Amen. ✠

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle, the first to follow Christ and to lead others to Him. May his faith and courage inspire us to answer God’s call with generosity and trust.

Saint Andrew the Apostle was a fisherman from Bethsaida and the brother of Saint Peter. He was the first disciple to follow Jesus and was the one who brought others, including his own brother, to Christ. Andrew preached the Gospel in various lands and remained faithful to Jesus until death. He was martyred by crucifixion on an X-shaped cross, which is now called the Cross of Saint Andrew.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁. 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄
✠ O Glorious St. Andrew, you were the first to recognize and follow the Son of God. With your friend, St. John, you remained with Jesus, for your entire life, and now throughout eternity. Just as you led your brother, St Peter, to Christ and many others after him, draw us also to Him. Teach us how to lead them, solely out of love for Jesus and dedication to His service. Help us to learn the lesson of the Cross and carry our daily crosses without complaint, so that they may carry us to God the Almighty Father. Amen. ✠

Today, we thank God for your 31 years of faithful and devoted priestly service. Your presence in our school has been a true blessing—guiding us in prayer, inspiring us through your words, and accompanying us with genuine care and compassion.

HAPPY 31ST SACERDOTAL ANNIVERSARY, Fr. RENIE!

Ngayong araw ay buong galak nating ipinagdiriwang ang ika-31 Taong Anibersaryo ng Pagka-Pari ng ating minamahal na Kura Paroko, Reb. P. Ireneo Oliver, ang pastol ng sambayanan ng Pandiyosesanong Dambana ng Mahal na Birhen ng Guadalupe.

Sama-sama natin siyang ipanalangin na patuloy siyang pagkalooban ng mabuting kalusugan, lakas ng katawan, at sigla ng espiritu, upang higit pa niyang maipagpatuloy ang misyon bilang lingkod ng Diyos. Idalangin natin sa Panginoon na pagyamanin pa ang bunga ng kanyang ministeryo, na lalo pang magningning ang kanyang presensya sa ating pamayanan, at maging tulay siya ng pag-asa, awa, at pagmamahal ng Mahal na Ina.

Kami’y lubos na nagpapasalamat sa iyong patuloy na pagsisilbi sa bayan ng Diyos.
