Banana plantations are always at risk due to typhoons. As an alternative revenue and income stream, Villa Socorro Farm trains their banana partner-farmers to also plant orange, yellow and purple varieties of sweetpotatoes, which are then manuctured into Camote Chips! This puts the famous Filipino remark of
“Go home and plant camote” in a positive light.
