🚨 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO REPACK FAMILY FOOD PACKS AT VDRC IN MANDAUE, CEBU!

📣 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS 📣

The DSWD Field Office (FO) 7 - Central Visayas is calling for volunteers to help in the production of family food packs (FFPs) at the Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC) in Mandaue City, Cebu for our kababayans affected by disasters. 📦

Important Reminders:
✅ Dress Code: Please avoid wearing slippers, sleeveless tops, crop tops, or shorts.
✅ Provisions: Food donations from partners are available for volunteers on a first come, first served basis. Please bring your own water bottle for refilling.
✅ Registration: Sign up through https://tinyurl.com/DSWD7CallForVolunteers or scan the QR code to choose your preferred schedule and time.

Behind every success story is a journey of perseverance, faith, and self-belief—and for Jerome Bajaro, his story shines with all three. A path not paved but drawn using the brushes and palettes of a make-up kit.

As a Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) monitored child from elementary to high school, Jerome grew up in the island municipality of San Miguel, Tabaco City, facing the realities of poverty.

“There were many times I needed things for school, but my parents struggled to provide for us, especially since all four of my brothers were also studying,” Jerome said. Yet through the support of 4Ps and the unyielding efforts of his parents, education remained within reach.

Determined to ease his family’s burden, Jerome discovered his passion and potential in the make-up industry while still in high school. Since he didn’t have his own hair and make-up tools yet, he would tag along with his friends to gigs, assisting and learning the craft.

“The money I earned from my first rackets, I invested in buying my own make-up supplies,” Jerome added.
