Sustainable Living: Small Changes, Big Impact 🌱
Despite the weather, last January 4, our youth members took part in an engaging activity to highlight how small lifestyle choices can make a big difference for our planet.
Divided into two groups, they went on a shopping challenge at the mercado.
Group 1 shopped for ingredients at the market using eco-friendly reusable bags.
Group 2 followed the usual practice of using single-use plastic bags.
Through this activity, participants experienced firsthand the environmental impact of these choices. Group 1 showcased how sustainable practices can be simple and effective, while Group 2 observed the volume of plastic waste generated in just one market trip.
The lesson? Small steps, like carrying an eco-bag, add up to significant impacts when we all take part.
