As part of its continuous advocacy for food safety, the Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) Food Technology Program participated in the ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง f๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ F๐จ๐จ๐ ๐๐f๐๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ง๐๐ ๐จf ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐จ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ on November 6, 2025.
Represented by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ขz๐๐ฅ ๐. ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐, the program followed up on the progress of crafting and establishing the local food safety ordinance, sharing insights drawn from years of research and extension initiatives focused on improving food safety practices in the community.
๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ป graced the committee hearing and showed his full support for the proposed Food Safety Ordinance. This marks an important step toward protecting public health and empowering food vendors through clear, consistent local policies.

The Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) participated in the ๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก, ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ (๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐) held last November 11, 2025, at the Innovation and Technology Resource Center (ITRC), University of the Immaculate Conception Main Campus, Davao City.
Representing the Food Technology Program, ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ง๐ ๐. ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ, BSFT Faculty, presented her policy brief titled โ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ: ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐

The event was also attended by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ค ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐๐จ, DNSC Research and Development Director, who provided strong support for the Food Technology Programโs advocacy for food safety.
Food safety has long been a core advocacy of the DNSC Food Technology Program, with numerous studies conducted over the years to strengthen public awareness, industry compliance, and evidence-based policy recommendations.
