📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC) hereby releases RESOLUTION NO. 008, SERIES OF 2026, authorizing the conduct of a Special Election for the DREAMSS Program-Based Organization due to the participation of non-qualified voters and recognizing the validity of the previously certified candidates.

Following the review, validation, and retracing of election records, it was determined that the participation of non-qualified voters materially affected the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the election results. To uphold a free, honest, orderly, and credible electoral process, a Special Election shall be conducted in accordance with the Omnibus Election Code.

Furthermore, the Certificates of Candidacy previously filed, approved, and certified by qualified DREAMSS candidates shall remain VALID and EFFECTIVE for the Special Election.

📢 SPECIAL ELECTION IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!

The Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC) hereby announces the official opening of the HALALAN 2026 Special Election.

Pursuant to Section 7(b) of the Omnibus Election Code, which authorizes the conduct of a Special Election in cases of Failure of Election, eligible students of the affected student societies are encouraged to participate and exercise their right to vote in choosing their student representatives.

The Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC) hereby releases RESOLUTION NO. 007, SERIES OF 2026, declaring a FAILURE OF ELECTION in the Communication and Performing Arts Student Society (CommPASS) pursuant to Article III, Section 5(5) of the Omnibus Election Code due to the absence of any filed Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for at least fifty percent (50%) of the total elective positions available in the Communication and Performing Arts Student Society (CommPASS).

In accordance with the resolution, a Special Election shall be conducted on a date to be determined by the Commission on Student Elections.

For transparency and proper dissemination, all concerned students are advised to read the attached resolution.

In accordance with the resolution, a Special Election shall be conducted on a date to be determined by the Commission on Student Elections.
