BINULIG FESTIVAL
Binulig is a local term for bunch of crops usually used in fruits and vegetables. For Binulig Festival, โBinuligโ represents the bountiful harvest of the city encompassing the empowered people, its rich culture and abundant products.
Thus, Binulig Festival celebrates the rich and exciting heritage of the city gifted by a fusion of different cultures and bounty of sustainable agri-based economy with the cityโs history as a gathering for tourism, trade and commerce.
Binulig Festival started in the year 2013 with a very austere White Night-themed celebration at the Bay walk, Mariculture Park and a Culinary Contest featuring recipes using Cavendish banana as their main ingredient.
It was institutionalized in the year 2016 with the approval of the Panabo City Tourism Code, City Ordinance No. 02, Series 2016.
