AFP, National University forge partnership on education cooperation
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and National University Philippines (NUP) formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) signing on September 24 at the General Headquarters here. The MOA institutionalizes a collaborative relationship aimed at advancing mutual development programs that benefit both the AFP and NUP communities.
The agreement was signed by NUP President, Dr. Renato Carlos Ermita Jr., and AFP Deputy Chief of Staff, LtGen Charlton Sean Gaerlan. The partnership paves the way for a range of opportunities, including scholarships, internships, job placements, and other concessions to support the personal and professional growth of AFP personnel, their dependents, and NUP students.
"This agreement emphasizes the importance of education and sees to it that the continuing education of our personnel and the education of the dependents of our fallen and wounded personnel are taken care of. Maraming salamat sa National University for making this possible," LtGen Gaerlan said.
The MOA strengthens ties between the AFP and National University Philippines, ensuring that both institutions are equipped to provide support and opportunities that contribute to the holistic development of individuals and the advancement of shared national goals.
