𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭:
The project presents the architectural, structural, and geotechnical design of a 40-storey irregular Y-shaped high-rise building proposed in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. It tackles the challenge of optimal shear wall placement to improve seismic performance amid torsional irregularities and mass eccentricities. Three spinal wall configurations were analyzed using Response Spectrum Analysis (RSA) in ETABS, assessed through base shear, story drift, and lateral displacements. The mat foundation was modelled in SAFE using site-specific geotechnical data to ensure stability and settlement control. A multi-criteria trade-off analysis guided the selection of the final design based on strength, serviceability, adaptability, flexibility, constructability, and cost-efficiency. Aligned with NSCP 2015, ACI 318-14, and international standards, the project integrates architectural vision with structural integrity. Its novelty lies in the strategic application of a spinal wall system in an irregular Y-shaped configuration—rarely explored in local practice—offering practical insights for resilient, efficient high-rise construction in seismic zones.
