Region X, a landlocked Region in the Philippines, experiences various slope instability and landslide issues due to its mountainous terrain, heavy rainfall, and human activities.

The DPWH urgently seeks a solution for road slips, and slope collapses along these roads in this Region. Continuous rainfall and inadequate drainage have caused slope failures, risking a major landslide if not addressed promptly.

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐌
1. Soil erosion have already occurred in the area.
2. Inadequate drainage in the area could lead to further deterioration.
3. Landslide is imminent due to potential slope instability.

𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇
The 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 (𝐌𝐒𝐄) 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐥 is designed with a wrap-around system for more effective slope protection. The 55-meter wide, and 8-meter high wall uses 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐝™ 𝐆𝐂 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 for reinforcement, ensuring long-term stability and erosion control. The 𝐌𝐒 𝐖𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐬 provide toe protection, while 𝐌𝐒 𝟑𝐃 𝐏𝐏 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐭 protects the surface from erosion and enhances aesthetics.
The construction is repeated in layers to reach the designed height. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚™ 𝐍𝐖 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐖𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 and drainage pipes are incorporated to improve water flow, preventing water buildup, and soil erosion.
