Why we take x-rays on your teeth? 🦷🧐
1. Look for decay between teeth
2. Check for bone loss associated with gum disease
3. Check for decay under fillings
4. Look for infection at the tip of the root
5. Examine the area before the procedure
Case: Patient came to our clinic for orthodontic consultation. Upon panoramic xray, we discovered that there were two impacted premolar teeth on the jaw.
Treatment plan: for surgical removal of impacted premolars prior to braces treatment on the lower teeth.
