FROM BROKENNESS TO BREAKTHROUGH 💔➡🎓

Class of 2025

I wasn’t born lucky —
I was born to fight.

2002 – I was born.
2007 – I lost my mom.
2011 – I lost my dad.
2012 – My sister and I were adopted by our aunt and uncle, who I now call Mom and Dad.
2015 – Graduated elementary.
2017 – My dad got imprisoned.
2018 – My adoptive mom passed away.
2019 – My brother died.
2021 – Graduated high school.
2022 – Dad was released.
2023 – I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder.
2025 – I graduated CUM LAUDE.

From a young age, life didn’t just test me — it tried to break me.

There were days I didn’t want to get up.
Days I worked jobs just to survive.
Times I had no one but myself.
But through every heartbreak, every loss, every moment of silence and pain —
I kept showing up.

I showed up when I was grieving.
I showed up when people doubted me.
I showed up when I felt invisible.

Never naka-‘undang.’ Never naka-‘balik.’
Kada enrollment, nagapa-enroll gyud ko.

Even when I was judged.
Even when I felt small.
Even when life gave me every reason to quit.

I chose to rise.

Now here I am. Not just a graduate.
But proof that resilience is louder than pain.
That showing up — even when you’re hurting — is still showing up.
And that’s where the breakthrough begins.

So if you’re reading this and life feels heavy...
👉 This is your reminder:
Even when no one claps.
Even when your heart is breaking.
Even when everything feels uncertain —

KEEP. SHOWING. UP.

Because your story isn’t over.
You're just being prepared for something greater.
And someday, your survival will be someone else’s inspiration.
