𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸
The Development Academy of the Philippines, through the Capability Building on Innovative Leadership for Legislative Staff (CBILLS) Program, implemented the course titled “AI 101: Course on AI Fundamentals for the Legislative,” held from 6 to 9 July 2026 at the DAP Conference Center (DAPCC) in Tagaytay City.
In support of national initiatives to adopt AI to advance national development, the course aimed to enhance the technological literacy and readiness of legislative officers and staff in integrating AI into their processes and workflows, building a future-ready Congress.
The course featured a distinguished panel of public sector leaders, AI experts, and practitioners, including Dr. Portia Silang, Ms. Emiline Acompañado from AI4Gov, Engr. Aunhel Adoptante from the Department of Science and Technology – Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI), Ms. Claire Tayco from CirroLytix Research Services, and Mr. Sebastian Felipe Bundoc from the Department of Education – Center for AI Research (DepEd-ECAIR).
The Emerging Leaders Track under the CBILLS program is a customized set of learning interventions designed for legislative staff and officers showing leadership potential from the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines.
