Mt. Pamitinan Adventure

We started our trip at 3:00 AM, heading toward Mt. Pamitinan under the stillness of dawn. The trail challenged us immediately—dark, muddy, and slippery—with many in our group experiencing their first hike. Still, the camaraderie pushed us forward.

After nearly two hours of ascent, we finally reached the summit—and to our joy, we were the first group to arrive that morning. The sense of achievement was written all over our faces, all of us sitting together on jagged limestone rocks, overlooking the endless stretch of green ridges. The backdrop was breathtaking.

We spent more than an hour at the summit, waiting eagerly for the sunrise. Though thick clouds hid the sun, the sky gave us a dramatic canvas of silver-gray with hints of gold.

Some braver souls posed on the cliff edges, balancing against sharp rock walls, arms outstretched with villages far below. Those shots perfectly captured both the thrill and daring spirit of the climb—a mix of fear, courage, and joy.

We also took quieter portraits: a few of us smiling with the misty mountains in the distance, clouds slowly rising from the valleys. These images showed another side of the hike—not just adventure, but also peace and awe in nature’s embrace.

Though the sun never broke through, the moments we shared at the peak became the true light of the day. What we lacked in a clear sunrise, we gained in memories, friendship, and a shared sense of accomplishment.
