The moon doesn’t rush to shine; it takes its time to glow. Maybe that’s how life should be, learning that growth, healing, and peace don’t happen all at once, but in phases.

Cebu has been through so much, strong winds, heavy rains, and countless hearts shaken by fear. The recent typhoon that struck Cebu left behind destruction, but it also revealed the incredible resilience of the people. Despite damaged homes and disrupted lives, communities came together, sharing food, offering shelter, and lifting each other up in prayer and hope. Strangers became family, and kindness became their shelter.

No storm can wash away the faith and strength of the Cebuanos. Theymay have lost power, comfort, and calm for a while, but not their courage to rise again. Still… it’s heartbreaking to think of the lives and memories washed away, things they can never bring back, only remember.

This experience is a reminder that in every disaster, unity and compassion shine the brightest. Together, we rebuild. Together, we rise. But deep down, the silence left by the storm still lingers, a quiet ache for what was lost and will never be the same again. 💔

But as CEBUANOS rise again, let this be more than just another story of resilience. Let it be a wake-up call to always be prepared, and for our leaders to act with urgency before the next storm comes.
