Today, the news says money for flood projects is missing, and some leaders are taking what is not theirs. That’s why many families are still underwater when it rains hard. Corruption is like a thief...it steals food from the hungry, schools from the children, and safety from our homes. If we all stay quiet, the flood of corruption will keep rising. But if we speak the truth, do what is right, and take care of each other, we can stop the flood and build a better future. Mahiya naman tayo!

Flood Control Projects

This artwork takes inspiration from how we respond to overwhelming challenges—whether it’s rising waters or rising responsibilities. In both art and governance, control is not just about stopping the flood, but about channeling it with vision and purpose.

Facilitating art workshops, especially with children, has shown me that leadership is much like the creative process. Some express freely, some get stuck, some move with ease. Each stroke, each choice, is a reflection of how we lead and respond.

I believe our government agencies can benefit from this perspective. Through Leadership Art Workshops, we can create spaces where leaders reflect on patience, adaptability, and empathy—values as essential in governance as they are in art.

👉 Because the real question is not just how do we control the flood? but how do we lead through it, and for whom?
