It takes a community to protect a child. 🤝🤍

Right Start gathered barangay officials, parents, BHWs, Women and Child Development Officers, and Day Care Teachers from Barangay West Crame and Barangay Corazon de Jesus, San Juan, for the OSAEC Q2 session: “Community Action Against OSAEC: Reporting, Referral, and Child Protection.”

The session highlighted the importance of understanding reporting and referral mechanisms, promoting child protection, and strengthening community collaboration in preventing and responding to Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children.

By working together, we move closer to creating safer environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive free from abuse and exploitation.

In celebration of World Oceans Day, young participants joined the Likha-Dagat Ceramics Workshop under Simula't Sining & Sining Lakbay to explore the art of clay sculpting. Led by Ms. Krista Nogueras, the session introduced children to the fundamentals of ceramics through an engaging discussion, a showcase of previous works, and a demonstration of creating sea creature-inspired sculptures.

The workshop also highlighted the importance of protecting marine life and preserving our oceans. Inspired by Ms. Krista's starfish sculpting demonstration, participants crafted their own clay artworks, combining creativity with environmental awareness in a fun and meaningful learning experience.
