On May 23, 2026, the Community Book Launching of โLupang Arenda, Lupang Pangakoโ (Lupang Arenda, Land of Promise) was successfully conducted at the Purok 2 Basketball Court in Lupang Arenda, Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal. The activity was attended by representatives from various government agencies and networks, including the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), representatives from Barangay Sta. Ana, Tagpuan Ateneo TAGPUAN, and Ateneo de Manila University, together with community organizers from Community Organizers Multiversity - CO Multiversity (COM) and leaders of Ugnayang Lakas ng Apektadong Pamilya (ULAP).
The activity served as an important platform for sharing the stories, experiences, and struggles of the Lupang Arenda community in their continuing journey toward achieving safe, decent, and humane housing. Through the book, the strength of collective community action and the continuing advocacy for housing rights and social justice were powerfully highlighted.
The event also became an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration between the community and its partner institutions and government agencies in advancing meaningful change and sustainable development for urban poor communities.

The Pederasyon ng mga Maralitang Mamamayan ng Biรฑan (PMMB) convened at the PMMB Headquarters in Sona 4, Barangay Malaban, Biรฑan, Laguna for a federation leaders' meeting aimed at strengthening organizational systems, assessing recent activities, and preparing for upcoming advocacy engagements.
One of the key discussions focused on the ongoing PO Profiling process to update and strengthen the federationโs organizational database and membership records. The leaders also discussed and aligned plans for the implementation of PMMB and Bahanggunihan activities for the 2nd Quarter of 2026, ensuring coordinated actions and participation among member organizations.
The meeting also included a brief assessment of the recently conducted PMMB Basic Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Orientation in partnership with the Biรฑan City DRRMO. Leaders reflected on the learnings gained from the activity and highlighted the importance of continuing community preparedness and disaster resilience initiatives in flood-prone communities.
In preparation for the upcoming visit of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Barangay Malaban, as relayed by Barangay Captain Dennis Salandanan, the federation conducted a roleplay and preparatory discussion related to the Laguna Lakeshore Road Network Project (LLRNP). Leaders discussed key community concerns associated with the project, including the worsening flooding situation in the area, lack of adequate consultation with affected residents, possible displacement of families and livelihoods, and the destruction of ecosystems surrounding Laguna de Bay. The preparation aimed to strengthen the leadersโ confidence and readiness in presenting the communityโs issues, concerns, and recommendations during engagements with government agencies.
