The countdown continues! ⏳ As we gear up for the 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗲𝗚𝗛 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, we're excited to introduce the distinguished experts who will be joining our 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 on One Health, Climate Change, and Resilience.
🎙️ Meet 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗲 𝗝. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮—a regional consultant in Global Health Security and One Health with more than four decades of leadership in disease prevention, preparedness, and control.
Throughout his remarkable career, Dr. Miranda has served in key technical and advisory roles with the World Health Organization (WHO), ASEAN, FAO, and various government institutions. His work has contributed to major regional and international initiatives on rabies, Ebola Reston, avian influenza, zoonotic disease prevention and control, surveillance strengthening, and pandemic preparedness and response.
A strong advocate for integrated health governance, Dr. Miranda is the principal proponent of One Health as the Institutionalized Delivery Architecture for Planetary Health: The Green One Health Imperative, advancing One Health as a practical governance framework for operationalizing Planetary Health across sectors.
He currently serves as Senior Technical Advisor for the EpiC Global Health Security Project, Senior Advisor on One Health and Global Health Security to the ASEAN-UK Health Security Partnership Programme, and Senior Research and Innovation Fellow at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health Center for Research and Innovation.
