Runruno NHS - DepEd-NV

Runruno National High School (RNHS) learners and employees participated in the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM, in adherence to the directives of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the Department of Education (DepEd). This activity forms part of the national government’s continuing efforts to promote disaster preparedness and resilience in educational institutions.
The drill commenced with the activation of the emergency alarm, signaling all learners, faculty, and staff to perform the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure. Following the simulated earthquake, participants proceeded to designated evacuation areas in accordance with the school’s Emergency and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plan. The School DRRM Team supervised the exercise to ensure compliance with safety protocols and to evaluate the effectiveness of the school’s preparedness measures.
Through this initiative, RNHS reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its stakeholders and fostering a culture of readiness in the face of natural hazards. Regular participation in NSED activities strengthens the capacity of the school community to respond effectively during emergencies.
