🕯️HIV AIDS CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL - MAY 19, 2026
"Light the Legacy: Remember, Advance , Act"

Soft candlelight flickered as voices of hope, awareness, and compassion filled the gathering during the HIV/AIDS Candlelight Activity at Brgy. North Mapang last May 19, 2026.

More than just a ceremony, the event became a meaningful opportunity for learning and reflection, especially for the young participants aged 10–19 years old who actively joined the HIV awareness lecture. Through open discussions and age-appropriate learning sessions, the children gained a better understanding of HIV/AIDS, the importance of prevention, and the value of showing empathy instead of discrimination.

As candles were lit one by one, they symbolized remembrance for lives affected by HIV/AIDS and a shared commitment to continue educating communities and breaking the stigma surrounding the disease.

The activity reminded everyone that awareness has no age limit, and empowering the younger generation with knowledge is one step toward building a more informed, compassionate, and healthier future for all.

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully met the requirements of the recent assessment and evaluation of the Level 1 Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility conducted by the Family Planning & Adolescent Health Development Program Provincial Coordinator Ma'am Elena Daarol and POPDEV Designate Maria Teresa Paquibot last May 13 & 14, 2026.

This remarkable milestone stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment, tireless efforts, and inspiring collaboration of everyone involved for our young adolescent.

Our sincerest appreciation goes to the ever-supportive and dedicated Barangay Officials headed by the Barangay Captain together with his brgy. Councilors, SK Chairman, BHWs, BNS, Human Resources for Health NDP Charmaine Estrada, Ma'am Rosemarlyn Egay , RHM III; Ma'am Maria Stella Ibabao - the Municipal AHDP coordinator and the supervision & guidance of Dr. Klyde Keenen Bingat and Dr. Yazmir Alrad Atong, Municipal Health Officer whose steadfast leadership, passion for service, and genuine concern to the Adolescent of the Municipality of Rizal made this achievement possible.

Together, we celebrate this meaningful victory for Municipality of Rizal—one that reflects hope, growth, and a brighter, healthier future for our youth.
