๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐. As the 43rd EduFest 2026 begins its week-long celebration, the FCUSR-CTE opens the festivities with an outreach program at the Ladies of Charity - Home for the Aged, April 20.
Bringing warmth and compassion beyond the classroom, the initiative allows future educators to connect with the elderly through meaningful interactions, acts of service, and shared moments of joyโreflecting the true spirit of service and empathy in the teaching profession.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ | John Loyd Corros, a BSED 4 student, secured 2nd place in the Provincial Teacher Education Quiz Bee hosted by the Carl E. Balita Review Center (CBRC), April 17.
The competition featured various formats, including matching type, modified true or false, and identification, covering topics from General Education to Professional Education.
Joining Corros in representing the institution were Eula Genrill Dela Cruz and KC Cerilos, under the guidance of their coach, Ms. Ruth Golingan.
The CBRC Teacher Education Quiz Bee is an annual academic competition that gathers aspiring educators from different institutions to assess their knowledge, critical thinking, and readiness for the teaching profession.

Last March 2-4, Filamer Christian University, Inc. (FCU) underwent the second-stage audit for ISO 21001:2025.
Today, after a successful evaluation, the university celebrates being formally awarded both ISO 21001:2025 (EOMS) and ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) Certifications.
Here are some of the audit findings and highlights for the College of Teacher Education (CTE), showcasing its contributions in the institution-wide evaluation process.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ | Out of 29 competing teams from all over the Philippines, the team of John Loyd Corros, KC Cerilos, and Eula Genrill Dela Cruz secured the 4th Runner-up position in the recently concluded Prof Ed Quiz Bee during the National Edukalidad 2026, held at Iloilo City, March 28.
Demonstrating exceptional academic competence, the team showcased a strong command of educational theories, teaching pedagogies, curriculum development, assessment strategies, and contemporary trends in education.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | The College of Teacher Education (CTE) emerged as Champion in the Legacy Mural Painting Contest, with the award presented today, March 16.
The winning mural was created by Immanuelle Gabriella Dela Cruz, Gella Mae Deloviar, Thea Faith Dordas, and Nizah Reese Barlongay, who represented the department in the competition held at the Elementary Building last March 12-13.
Guided by the given theme, โFCUSR@41: FILAMER SHINES: One Community Growing in Faith, Knowledge, and Strength,โ the team brought the message to life through their mural, highlighting creativity and collaboration.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | The College of Teacher Education (CTE) clinched the 2nd runner-up title in the Laro ng Lahi competition, with the award presented during the Studentsโ Night held at the FCU Gym, March 13.
CTE participants competed in several traditional Filipino games, including patintero, kick, dodge ball, sekyu, and Chinese garter, showcasing teamwork and school spirit throughout the event.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | EDUCORE, the official band of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), secured 2nd runner-up in the Battle of the Bands 2026 held at the FCU Gym, March 13.
Their set featured fresh renditions of well-known OPM songs, including โTatsulok,โ โSumayaw Ka,โ and โBanal na Aso.โ
The band is composed of vocalists Teosybelle Pagayon, Kent Matthew Postremo, and John Andrew Ambac; guitarists Montecarlo Agregorio and Rein Hard Arguelles; keyboardist Jonnel Villaruz; and Isaac Zaki Duga on the drums.
EDUCOREโs performance highlighted the musical talent within the department, adding another achievement for CTE in the 41st FCUSR Week celebration.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | Kent Matthew Postremo and John Andrew Ambac of EDUCORE, the official band of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), were recognized as Best Male Vocalists during the Battle of the Bands 2026 held at the FCU Gym, March 13.
Their strong stage presence and vocal performance stood out during the competition, earning them the recognition.

๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | Marey Jen Orola of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) secured the major awards as 5th runner-up in the Filamerian Stars 2026 held at the FCU Gym, March 13.
Orola showed her most slayable walk and wittest lines, bringing pride to the department in line with the 41st FCUSR Week celebration.
