Assumption Academy of Peñaplata was filled with a sense of pride and nostalgia as it celebrated its Recognition and Moving Up Ceremony 🎉, highlighting the achievements of its Grade 10 students. This year's event was particularly special, marking the last year of middle school for these students as they prepare to embark on their new journey into senior high school 🚀📚.

The ceremony commenced with the warm welcome from Sr. Maria Lourdes Remotigue , the Principal and Directress, who expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the students on their accomplishments 👏. The atmosphere was vibrant, with families and friends gathering to support the young scholars as they transitioned into this exciting new chapter of their academic lives 🌈❤️.

One of the most anticipated moments of the ceremony was the recognition of Grade 10 students 🏆, who were honored for their hard work, dedication, and resilience throughout their years at Assumption Academy . ~ Assumption Academy's Dagahuya Secures DAVRAA Spot After Nail-Biting City Chess Victory ~

– Jhay Anne Hyacinth Dagahuya, a chess player from Assumption Academy of Peñaplata, is heading to the DAVRAA (Division Athletic Association of Region XI) competition as part of the SAMAL WAVES team after a stunning victory at the recent city chess meet. Her path to DAVRAA wasn't without its challenges, however, as Dagahuya faced a nail-biting finish in the city competition.

Dagahuya's chess journey began with a decisive win at the district meet, showcasing her talent and strategic prowess. But the city meet proved to be a different beast. Facing stiff competition, she found herself in a tense final match, nearly relinquishing her hard-earned lead.

Despite the pressure and the near-miss, Dagahuya’s unwavering belief in herself shone through. She managed to pull through, securing the victory and earning her place on the SAMAL WAVES team heading to DAVRAA. Her resilience and determination serve as an inspiration to aspiring chess players and athletes alike.

Now, as part of the SAMAL WAVES team, Dagahuya prepares for the challenges of the DAVRAA competition. The entire Peñaplata community is behind her, celebrating her grit and looking forward to her performance in Tagum City. The DAVRAA competition will be held on March 1 or 2 (pendinh dates).
