In celebration of 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 month, the Samboan RHU in partnership with Ramon Aboitiz Inc - Eduardo J. Aboitiz Cancer Center (RAFI-EJACC) will have 𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝘼𝙋 𝙎𝙈𝙀𝘼𝙍 on May 19, 2026, 8:30am to 3PM at SAMBOAN RHU.

What is 𝑷𝑨𝑷 𝑺𝑴𝑬𝑨𝑹?

📍 A Pap smear (Pap test) is a simple yet essential screening tool for detecting cervical cancer and other abnormalities in the cervix. Regular testing can save lives by catching potential issues early.

📍 Why Is a Pap Smear Important?
✅Detects precancerous and cancerous cervical cells early
✅Identifies HPV (human papillomavirus) infections, a leading cause of cervical cancer
✅Helps monitor abnormal cervical cell changes before they become serious
✅A vital part of women's preventive healthcare

📍 How to Prepare for a Pap Smear:
✅ Schedule the test when you're not on your period, ideally 5 days after your period ends (avoiding the 2 days before and after bleeding)
✅Avoid in*******se, douching, and vaginal products 24-48 hours before the test
✅Relax and be Calm!! it's a quick and typically painless procedure

📍 Does a Pap Smear Hurt?
Most women experienced mild discomfort but no pain. The procedure only takes a few minutes and can help prevent cervical cancer!
