This venture of the City Government of San Fernando, La Union, through the Local Economic and Business Development Office - Tourism and Cultural Affairs Division (LEBDO-TCAD), aims to showcase and celebrate the creativity, stories, and talents of local filmmakers while providing the community with meaningful cultural and artistic experiences.

𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 🌍| On July 31, 2026, eight volunteers from the 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗗 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 conducted a tree-planting activity in Bigbiga, Callitang, Sudipen, La Union.

The volunteers planted 50 fruit-bearing trees during the activity.

The activity reflects the participating Lions Clubs’ commitment to environmental sustainability and community service through meaningful initiatives that can provide long-term benefits to the community.

𝙃𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 | 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗜𝗙𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗦 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

BACNOTAN, LA UNION – More than 400 schoolchildren in La Union benefited from the 𝗚𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗜𝗙𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 through a healthy plant-based sandwich feeding initiative conducted on July 24, 2026. The activity brought together government agencies, civic organizations, and volunteers in a shared commitment to improving child nutrition and promoting healthier food choices.

Food preparation began at SIFCare in San Juan, La Union, where volunteers worked hand in hand to prepare nutritious plant-based sandwiches for the beneficiaries. The feeding program was then conducted at Carcarmay Integrated School in Bacnotan, La Union, one of the program's beneficiary schools, serving 𝟮𝟮𝟱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. Another 𝟮𝟭𝟭 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗹𝘀 received nutritious meals at Cabaroan Elementary School in San Juan, La Union. In total, 𝟰𝟯𝟲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 were reached through the initiative.

The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of 𝗦𝗜𝗙𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗨, the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆, the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲, the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱, the 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, the 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, and the 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗗 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯. A total of 𝟴𝟯 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 dedicated approximately five hours to food preparation, distribution, and program activities, demonstrating the power of volunteerism and partnership in serving local communities.

Adding joy and excitement to the event, the participating Lions Clubs sponsored cash prizes and special gifts for the winners of the Nutrition Month Celebration Costume Competition held during the program. The awarding ceremony brought smiles to the young participants and further encouraged their active participation in the celebration, making the event both educational and memorable.

Beyond providing nutritious meals, the GO PALAKAS Program highlights the importance of healthy eating, community involvement, and collective action in supporting the well-being of children. Through partnerships among civic organizations, uniformed services, and volunteers, the initiative continues to create meaningful and lasting impacts on communities.
