The BS Environmental Science Department of Our Lady of Fatima University Pampanga proudly presents its newest facility—the 𝐄𝐂𝐎 𝐋𝐀𝐁! 🌿

Designed to support laboratory activities in fisheries, aquatic ecology, aquaculture, and other water-related environmental science subjects, the Eco Lab provides students with valuable hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom.

We are currently culturing 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐚, made possible through the generous donation of fingerlings from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). 🐟💧

📸 The photos feature our faculty, conducting 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 and monitoring water quality within the Eco Lab. The facility also utilizes 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, a sustainable aquaculture practice that promotes natural plankton growth, improves water conditions, and supports the healthy development of aquatic organisms.

What makes it even more special? The Eco Lab is a unique facility offered exclusively by OLFU Pampanga, further strengthening our commitment to experiential environmental education.
