Rest is not limited to eating well and sleeping enough to regain the energy we lose throughout the week.

Sometimes, rest also means disconnecting from the things we usually consume so we can recalibrate our whole being. It may be through quiet moments, meaningful time with family and loved ones, and most importantly, meditating on God’s Word to renew and give life to our souls.

In this world, we will face different challenges, waves to overcome, battles to endure, and paths that will eventually test our faith. Nevertheless, like King David, who chose to trust God despite enemies and persecution, we can cling to God's powerful Word.

David's faith grew stronger because his heart remained anchored in God. No matter how gigantic our problems may seem, we serve an even greater God, who is with us wherever we go.

Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Sometimes, life can really be any harsher. Nevertheless, as we get reminded of the goodness of God, we then come to an important realization that we are never really forsaken and He always has our back.

Psalm 23:6
"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
