Welcome home, Rene Baterbonia 2.0. This is not the kind of welcome everyone expected for you, seeing you lying there in a coffin, but at least we were able to see you. Even this sacrifice of ours is just a way of waiting for you to arrive here in Agusan. You are a part of history. You are the only athlete who made us feel this kind of deep emotion and pride. Your life became an inspiration to many of us.

We may not fully understand why things had to end this way, but one thing is clear, your story will never be forgotten. You may have left this world too soon, but the mark you left behind is something time cannot erase.
