The activity aims to enhance the capacity of the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) members of Barangay Bulusukan in developing a strong product identity and effectively promoting their donut products through logo creation and social media management. Specifically, the training seeks to improve their ability to present, market, and differentiate their products while strengthening group identity and confidence toward enterprise development.

The program begins with the arrival and registration of participants facilitated by ๐— ๐˜€. ๐—”๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ. ๐— ๐—ฐ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜,together with a photo opportunity at the BASC Grounds, courtesy call, Palayamanan site visit, and Food Innovation Center site visit coordinated by the concerned offices and units of the institution.

The activity also includes the administration of the post-test and awarding of certificates facilitated by Ms. Anabel A. The activity brought together participants from Pandi, Baliwag City, San Rafael, San Miguel, and San Ildefonso, Bulacan to strengthen their knowledge and technical skills in sustainable duck production using ItikPinas technology. The training aimed to support farming communities by promoting improved production practices, enhancing livelihood opportunities, and increasing awareness of duck farming as a viable enterprise.

Discussions also covered housing systems, care and management of ducklings, growers, and layers, feeding management, health and nutrition, biosecurity measures, egg collection, and basic recordkeeping.

Through the promotion and utilization of ItikPinas technology, the project supports sustainable agricultural practices and contributes to broader development goals aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. By equipping farmers with science-based production and management practices, the initiative aims to strengthen local duck egg production while improving livelihood opportunities among small-scale farming communities in Bulacan.

Sariwang Gulay para sa Bayan: Juanang Pangkabuhayan, Naglunsad ng Community Pantry sa Sityo Tugatog

BOCAUE, BULACAN โ€“ Isang makabuluhang hakbang para sa kalusugan at pagkakaisa ang nasaksihan sa Sityo Tugatog, Brgy. Tambubong ngayong araw, Abril 10, 2026, matapos ilunsad ng samahang Juanang Pangkabuhayan ng Bocaue ang isang Community Pantry.

Layunin ng aktibidad na ito na makapagbahagi ng libre, ligtas, at masustansyang pagkain sa komunidad bilang tugon sa epekto ng giyera sa pagitan ng Israel, Amerika at Iran sa Gitnang Silangan na nagdulot ng patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng langis na nagiging dahilan din ng pagtaas ng presyo ng iba pang mga bilihin. Ang mga gulay, itlog at prutas na ipinamahagi ay mismong ani ng mga kasapi ng samahan mula sa kanilang pinagpagurang mga pananim sa kani-kanilang mga bakuran.

Ang Juanang Pangkabuhayan ng Bocaue ay isang samahan ng kababaihan na pangunahing benepisyaryo ng proyektong "Expanding Women-led Integrated Backyard Farming in Bulacan through the Science and Technology Community Based-Farm (STCBF) Modality." Ang inisyatibong ito ay proyekto ng Bulacan Agricultural State College sa pakikipagtulungan ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Bocaue, Bulacan at pinondohan ng DOST-PCAARRD, na naglalayong palakasin ang kapasidad ng mga kababaihan sa pagsasaka gamit ang makabago at ligtas na pamamaraan.

Layunin ng grupo ng mga kababaihan sa Bocaue na kung paano sila nabibigyan ng mga pagpapala mula sa proyektong ito ay makapagbahagi rin nila sa iba pang taong higit na nangangailangan lalo na sa panahon ngayon.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ng kanilang pangulo na si Gng. Susana Prociuncula, napatunayan ng samahan na ang sipag ng mga "Juana" ay may malaking kontribusyon sa seguridad sa pagkain ng kanilang komunidad. Hindi lamang ang mga residente ng Brgy. Tambubong ang nakinabang sa biyaya ng community pantry. Umabot sa mahigit limampung (50) na pamilya ang matagumpay na nabahagian ng mga sariwang gulay, kabilang ang mga naninirahan mula sa mga karatig-barangay ng Taal at Batia.

๐‘๐„๐€๐ƒ | As part of Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) internally funded extension project ๐€๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ ๐š ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ โ€“ ๐๐š๐ก๐š๐ฒ ๐š๐ญ ๐˜๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐ง๐ข ๐’๐š๐ง ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ž ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ, ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ, ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐š๐ง, a one-day ๐‚๐ฒ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  was successfully conducted today, April 7, 2026, bringing together participants for a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

The program opened with registration facilitated by the Training Management Team (TMT), followed by the opening prayer and national anthem. Welcome remarks and the discussion of training objectives, along with the presentation of participants were led by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‘๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐จ ๐„. ๐’๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐จ. A pre-test was also administered by the TMT to assess participantsโ€™ baseline knowledge.

The morning sessions featured an introduction to โ€œWhat is Cybercrime and Cybersecurityโ€ by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‘๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐จ ๐„. ๐’๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐จ, followed by an interactive workshop and open forum facilitated by the TMT. Discussions on Common Threat Vectors were led by ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ž ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐š, while the Data Privacy Act of 2012 was discussed by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐€๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ ๐‹๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž, with another workshop and open forum session facilitated by the TMT.

In the afternoon, sectoral discussions included Agriculture by ๐„๐ง๐ ๐ซ. ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ฅ๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž ๐…. ๐†๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐š๐ง, and Environment by ๐„๐ง๐ ๐ซ. ๐‘๐จ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ญ ๐€๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ง๐ฒ ๐‚. ๐–๐š๐ ๐š๐ง. The session on Best Practices for Individuals was handled by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‹๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ณ ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฐ ๐๐š๐ฌ๐œ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ, followed by another workshop and open forum facilitated by the TMT.

The training concluded with a post-test, awarding of certificates of appreciation and participation facilitated by the TMT. The program was smoothly guided by the Master of Ceremony, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‹๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ณ ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฐ ๐๐š๐ฌ๐œ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ.

Through this initiative, participants gained valuable insights and practical skills to better protect themselves and their communities in the digital spaceโ€”fostering a more informed, secure, and resilient society.
