Let Us Pray for Our Brethren in Mindanao

Our hearts go out to our brethren and kababayans in Mindanao who have been affected by the recent magnitude 7.6 earthquake. We know that in times like this, fear and uncertainty can fill our hearts — but we also know that our God is our refuge and strength, ever-present in times of trouble.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

Let’s come together as one body in Christ — to lift up in prayer those who are affected, those who lost their homes, and those who are still waiting for help. Let’s also pray for the safety and strength of the responders and local churches reaching out to the community.

May we continue to show Christ’s love and compassion not only through our prayers, but also through any way we can extend help.
