Juan 12:1-8
The Incomparable Worth of Jesus Christ

✨ Jesus is honored as the worthy one (vv1-3)

πŸ«’ a way of life pointing to Jesus Christ

✨ Jesus Exposes the false Heart (vv.4-6)

✨ Jesus Reveals the True meaning of Worship (vv.7-8)

Roman 6:1
Bro. Arnaldo Rubi

Romans 6:6 ESV
[1] What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?
[2] By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
[3] Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
[4] We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
[6] We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

✨ Hindi na natin master ang sin dahil we are already freed from it. Hindi na tayo alipin ng kasalanan.

To God be the glory πŸ™ŒπŸ™

Last Sunday, we reflected on β€œFaith that Pleases God” from Genesis 15:1–6.

We began by seeing that before God reminded Abram of His promises, He first reminded him of Himself. God declared, β€œDo not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your reward shall be very great.” True security is never found in circumstances, possessions, or people, but in the presence, protection, and faithfulness of God Himself.

We also saw that faith does not ignore difficulties. Abram honestly brought his questions before the Lord. He could not yet see how God's promise would be fulfilled because he remained childless. Yet even when Abram saw obstacles, God remained faithful to His covenant promises. What God has spoken, He will surely accomplish.

As God brought Abram outside and pointed him to the stars, He reminded him that His promises are never limited by human impossibilities. The God who created the heavens is able to fulfill every word He has spoken. Abram believed the promise because he trusted the God who made it.

Finally, we learned that faith that pleases God is faith that rests entirely on His grace. Genesis 15:6 declares that Abram "believed in the LORD, and He credited it to him as righteousness." The New Testament repeatedly points to this verse to teach that sinners are justified by faith alone, not by works. Salvation is not a wage we earn but a gracious gift that God freely gives through Jesus Christ to all who believe.

May we therefore trust God even when we cannot yet see the fulfillment of His promises. Let us treasure His Word, rest in His faithful character, and fix our hope on Christ, through whom we are counted righteous and become heirs of the promises of God.

Faith does not rest in what we can see, it rests in the God who never fails.

Soli Deo Gloria.
