EARTH HOUR
March 28, 2026

Tonight, we pause. We switch off the lights - not because we have to, but because we choose to. Earth Hour is more than just 60 minutes in the dark - itโ€™s a reminder that even the smallest actions, when done together, can help light the future of our planet. ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’š

For one hour, let the world slow down. No bright screens, no extra lights - just you, your thoughts, and the quiet beauty of our Earth. Every switch turned off is a step toward protecting nature, conserving energy, and showing that we care about the only home we have. ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

So join millions around the globe and be part of something bigger. Because real change doesnโ€™t need to be loud - it just needs to begin.
Lights out. Hope on. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ก

Science in action, not just in theory. Armed with gloves, brooms, and teamwork.

โ€œEvery small action counts when it comes to saving our planet! ๐Ÿ’š The Science Club took on a Clean-Up Drive around the school, proving that protecting the environment is a responsibility we can all experiment with. Together, we can make our school a cleaner, greener, and healthier place for everyone.

Cleaning up isnโ€™t just about picking up trash- itโ€™s about teamwork, responsibility, and showing care for the environment. By coming together, we can make a big difference in a short time and inspire others to do the same.

One step, one sweep, and one smile at a time.

Letโ€™s take action, work together, and help our school shine as a cleaner, brighter space for everyone! ๐Ÿงนโœจ Your effort today makes a difference for tomorrow.โ€

Noong January 27, 1911 pa lamang nang maitala ng Bureau of Science (ngayoโ€™y Department of Science and Technology) ang volcanic activity ng Taal.

๐Ÿงญ

๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Theoretically, weโ€™re about to complete one revolution as we end 2025 and enter 2026. But, what is revolution and what is itโ€™s difference with rotation?

Rotation describes how an object spins around its own axis, Revolution, on the other hand, is an

Earthโ€™s rotation creates day and night every 24 hours, while its revolution around the Sun defines our 365-day year. Similarly, satellites donโ€™t spin around Earth to stay in orbit; they revolve around it.

When setting schedules, we often ask: โ€œ7 oโ€™clockโ€”AM or PM?โ€ Thatโ€™s the question we often ask whenever weโ€™re setting a schedule. But what do they really mean?

These familiar labels are rooted in Earthโ€™s rotation, which takes about 24 hours to complete one full spin on its axisโ€”what we call a day. To keep time organized, many countries now use the 24-hour โ€œmilitary timeโ€ format, while others, including the Philippines, still follow the 12-hour system.

In the 12-hour format, time is divided using A.M. and P.M. The A.M. comes from the Latin ante meridiem, meaning โ€œbefore noon,โ€ and refers to the hours from midnight until just before midday. P.M., from post meridiem or โ€œafter noon,โ€ covers the hours from afternoon through the night.

Interestingly, 12:00 noon and 12:00 midnight technically fall under neither A.M. nor P.M. and are more accurately called noon and midnight. To avoid confusion, many countries prefer the 24-hour clock, where time runs continuously from 00:00 to 24:00โ€”so 6:00 PM becomes 18:00.
