Mayor 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐄𝐋 𝐒. 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐎 officiated the civil wedding of Mr. & Mrs. Andrion, June 26, 2026, at the Office of the Mayor, Santa Maria Municipal Hall, Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur.

Mayor 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐒. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨, together with the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, led the awarding and recognition of the Municipality under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on 26 June 2026.

The activity highlighted the continuing partnership between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Local Government Unit of Sta. Maria in expanding social protection programs and ensuring that more deserving families gain access to government assistance.

The Local Government remains steadfast in supporting programs that uplift vulnerable sectors and promote inclusive and sustainable development for all Sta. Marians.

Mayor 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐒. 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨 Calls for Stronger Support for Alternative Learning System Graduates

During the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Graduation Ceremony held on 26 June 2026 at the Barangay Hall of Poblacion Sur, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, Municipal Mayor Michael S. Florendo reaffirmed the Municipality's commitment to accessible and inclusive education.

The Mayor encouraged families, community leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen their collective efforts in motivating out-of-school youth and adult learners to return to learning and pursue the completion of their education through programs such as the Alternative Learning System.

"Every learner deserves a second chance and every success story inspires others to continue their pursuit of education," Mayor Florendo emphasized.

The Municipality continues to support initiatives that expand educational opportunities and promote lifelong learning for all Sta. Marians.

The Local Government Unit of Santa Maria under the leadership of Mayor 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐄𝐋 𝐒. 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐎 conducted its weekly Flag Raising ceremony.
