Alex Eala has officially arrived in Nagoya, Japan and is set to lead the Philippine campaign in women’s tennis at the 20th Asian Games.

Entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed, the Filipina ace earns a first-round bye and will begin her quest for Asian Games honors on Monday in the second round. Awaiting her is the winner between Thailand’s Patcharin Cheapchandej and Pakistan’s Mahin Aftab Qureshi.

The road to the podium starts now for one of the country’s brightest sporting stars. With her talent, confidence, and determination, Alex is ready to take on the challenge and carry the Philippine flag with pride.

Team Philippines’ flag bearer Albert Ian Delos Santos delivers on the big stage, powering his way to a bronze medal in the fiercely contested men’s 70kg weightlifting event at the 2026 Asian Games!

The reigning Junior World Champion lifted an incredible 141kg in the sn**ch and a record-breaking 183kg in the clean & jerk, finishing with a total of 324kg.

Even more impressive, the 20-year-old sensation shattered both the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 and 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 in the clean & jerk and total lift!
