𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆

SIBONGA, CEBU | On May 7, 2026, the Sibonga Multipurpose Hall came alive with music, laughter, inspiration, and heartfelt emotions as graduating BSED and BEED students gathered for the EDUC 4th Year Seminar at 8:30 AM.

Led by SASO Director 𝗥𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗟. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗮, the program opened with energetic singing sessions and exciting cash prizes that brought joy and enthusiasm to the graduating class.

The highlight of the seminar was the inspiring talk of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗙. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀, Senior Education Specialist, titled “The Journey of Becoming a Public School Teacher: Insights on Applying to DepEd.” Her message centered on one powerful belief:

“There is nothing impossible if you have the intention.”

Dr. Pernites shared her meaningful 5 steps toward achieving one’s dreams:
1.Have a good mindset with a clear vision
2.Feel it as if it’s already happening
3.Intentionally act on it
3.5 do it again and again
4.Receive it with gratitude and thank the Lord
5.Give back and continue striving for growth. Do not be contented to be more.

One of the most emotional moments came when students were asked to envision themselves five years from now. The activity moved many to tears as they reflected on their future, dreams, and calling as educators.

Beyond motivation, the seminar also provided practical knowledge about the DepEd Application Process, Qualification Standards, Documentary Requirements, Ranking Criteria, Interview tips, and the values expected from future public school teachers. Through humor, wisdom, and real-life experiences, Dr. Pernites inspired students to pursue their goals with confidence, preparation, and faith.

The seminar served as a reminder that becoming a teacher is not only about completing requirements, but also about carrying a purpose to inspire, serve, and make a difference.

As they move forward in their journey, the graduating students are reminded to carry the 3As: "𝘼𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝘼𝙢𝙥𝙤, 𝙪𝙜 𝘼𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚" to stay safe, keep praying, and continue moving forward toward their dreams.
