Barangay Visitation
Building rapport and establish a strong connection between law enforcers and the force multipliers which contributes in maintaining peace and order even to the farthest corner within your area of responsiblity is a must and a very effective strategy in policing. Barangay visitation is effective to constantly know and keep updated with regards to the level of security and to know the criminal activities that prevalent within a specific barangay in order to formulate proactive solutions so that crimes are prevented or controlled in barangay level before it gets worst that might compromise the peace and order of the City.
Know current updates on organized crime groups and lawless elements that were already started in barangays and constantly reminding the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team or locally known as BPATs to keep monitoring suspicious personalities within their locality and immediately report to the station for preventive actions will be implemented and lastly, to implement local and barangay ordinances to control and instill discipline to all local settlers. Through these initiative, barangay officials are actively participating to whatever programs and advocacies that the organization are doing in order to improve the safety and security of the area in order to achieve a peaceful environment.

Service of Warrant of Arrest
"Enforce the law" is one of the mandated duty of police officers being an agent of a person in authority and are oblige to serve the warrant of arrest issued by the court to arrest a certain person even if it is his closest friend or relative. Cadets witnessed the actual process of serving warrant of arrest and was able to observed the proper way. The police officer serving the warrant of arrest was wearing a civilian uniform so that the operation will not be compromise. The arresting officer approached the alleged individual and asked for his personal circumstance to know and confirm that he/she was the person they are intend to arrest. After the identity was confirmed, the arresting officer, wearing an alternative recording device, explained to the respondent the nature of her offense as stated in the warrant and the issuing court. Afterwards, the arresting officer read to the respondent the Miranda Warning as part of standard operating procedure. Then, the respondent submitted herself to the authority and was brought to the station for proper disposition.

Day 9 of Cadet Attachment Program
"Anti-Criminality Campaign of Sta Rosa City Police Station"
Cadets joined and observed how the personnel of Sta Rosa City Police Station led by PLT Navarro under the direct supervision of PLTCOL PAUL M SABULAO, Chief of Police performed night checkpoint as one of their means to fight criminality within their area of responsibility. Crimes and violence usually done/committed at night knowing that criminals will not be easily identified and they think that law enforcers rest at night little did they know know that police officers frequently conduct checkpoint at night to areas that most of the criminals commit their unlawful acts.
During the checkpoint, PNP personnel check the license of the driver, Certificate of Registration of the vehicle and the Official Receipt. However, plain view doctrine must be strictly followed as well as the standard operating procedure during checkpoint as stated in the Police Operational Procedure Manual. Violators will pay a fine and their vehicles will be in the custody of the station until they pay the fine to the Land Transportation Office.

Day 6 of Cadet Attachment Program
While conducting mobile patrol around the area of responsibility, one of the anti-criminality program of the PNP, a student reported to the station that there is a vehicular accident that transpired along Balibago-Tagaytay Road Brgy. Pulong Sta Cruz, Laguna in front of Toyota Motors. Then the patrol team together with us, cadets undergoing immerssion directly proceeded to the location.
The traffic investigator found out that it was a self-cause accident by the driver himself hitting a light post that cause damage on the right bumper on his car. However, the driver only ask for police report to be use in claiming the insurance of his car. After getting the photograph, the car was removed to that the flow of traffic will not be compromise.
