The draft ordinance for Kakanon sa Baybayon Night Market will be presented for its First Reading at the Sangguniang Barangay this coming Monday’s session. This marks the beginning of an important step toward turning this vision into a sustainable program that can bring opportunities to our community.

The goal of Kakanon sa Baybayon is not only to create a lively night market along our baybayon but also to open more opportunities for livelihood, especially for our local vendors, small entrepreneurs, and families who want to showcase their delicious kakanin and local delicacies. Through this initiative, we hope to provide a space where our people can grow their small businesses, earn additional income, and share their talents with the community.

At the same time, this project is part of our dream to further promote tourism in San Rafael. By highlighting our local food, culture, and the relaxing atmosphere of our baybayon, we aim to create a destination where visitors from nearby barangays and municipalities can come, enjoy, and experience the unique flavors and hospitality of our community. A vibrant night market can help bring life to the area while supporting the local economy.

This initiative is a reminder that when the community works together, small ideas can grow into projects that benefit many people. I am truly happy and honored to be part of this meaningful step for our barangay an initiative that celebrates our culture, supports livelihood, and helps build a brighter future for San Rafael.
