“Where Light Settles” has found its home.

One of the greatest joys of being an artist is seeing a painting become part of someone’s life and story.

Today, Where Light Settles hangs in the beautiful home of Ms. Kathy—my former professor, world traveler, and passionate collector of art and objects gathered from different corners of the world.

Looking at this photograph fills me with gratitude. Her home is a reflection of a life well-lived, filled with treasured pieces, memories, and discoveries from many journeys. To know that my painting now sits among those meaningful collections is both humbling and deeply touching.

As artists, we create with the hope that our work will connect with someone on a personal level. I am thankful that the sense of peace, light, and optimism that inspired this piece resonated with Ms. Kathy and found a place within her home.

There is something special about knowing that a painting has found the right collector—not simply someone who acquires art, but someone who truly connects with it and welcomes it into their daily life.
