Recently, Kristian Blummenfelt shattered the run course record at the Ironman World Championship winning the race with an incredible run time of 2:34 marathon, backed by a reported VO₂max of ~101 ml/kg/min.
This isn’t just a number that looks good on paper it’s a metric that can guide your training, define your performance, and elevate your results.
You can take advantage of this metric only if you have a reliable way to measure it because what you don’t measure, you won’t know if it’s improving.

Today, we tested Matt’s VO₂max, and just like his performance, the results were impressive.
