In light of the recent earthquake that struck General Santos City in the province of South Cotabato, many families have been affected and are in need of our compassion and support.
The UM Tagum College, through the Community Extension Center, is launching a ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ to extend help to our fellow Filipinos who are currently facing this difficult time.

Demonstrating excellence sharpened through the National Service Training Program, NSTP completers of A.Y. 2025โ2026, 2nd Semester, displayed their talent and skills in the Pasundayag 2026 last May 30, 2026, held at the PB San Jose Gymnasium.
Students showcased their skills, creativity, and teamwork through the Trash and Trend, Vocal Duet, and Dance Competitions. The event is a manifestation of the students' commitment to become socially aware and involved citizens, contributing to the continuous nation-building efforts.

The NSTP Completers' Ceremony was successfully held on May 30, 2026, at the PB San Jose Gymnasium, bringing together NSTP completers, facilitators, coordinators, university officials, and guests to celebrate the studentsโ successful completion of the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
The ceremony was attended by representatives from the university administration, including the registrar, assistant dean, and director, to honor the students' achievements. Serving as the keynote speaker was Sitti Rogaiya Apadan, RSW, Assistant Vice President of the Community Extension Center, who delivered the message of value in service, leadership, and active participation in community development and nation-building.
The event serves as a recognition of the completersโ dedication and commitment to promoting community engagement and responsible citizenship.

Innovation, creativity, talent, and intellect took center stage as NSTP students officially opened the first day of the NSTP Culmination Program dubbed as Pasundayag 2026.
The event showcased the remarkable skills and collaborative spirit of students through various competitions including the Product Innovation Competition, Poster-Making Competition, Quiz Bowl Competition, and Photo Exhibit. Participants demonstrated not only their creativity and ingenuity but also their awareness of social responsibility, environmental sustainability, nationalism, and community involvement, core values embodied in the NSTP program.
From groundbreaking and eco-friendly product concepts, thought-provoking artworks, intellectually stimulating quiz challenges, to captivating visual storytelling through photography, Day 1 became a vibrant celebration of student excellence and purposeful learning.
Indeed, Pasundayag 2026 serves as a platform where passion meets service, creativity inspires change, and young minds are empowered to become responsible and proactive citizens of society.

We are honored to welcome ๐๐โ๐๐ข ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐. ๐ผ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฃ, ๐๐๐, the current AVP for Community Extension of the University of Mindanao, Davao City.
A passionate advocate of community service and empowerment, Maโam Apadan continues to inspire students and communities through her dedication to extension programs and nation-building initiatives. Her leadership and commitment perfectly embody the true spirit of the National Service Training Program.

In line with its commitment to environmental preservation and community involvement, the ๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐ Unit successfully conducted ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐: ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฒ today, May 23, 2026, with the active participation of the ROTC cadets.
The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, encourage sustainable practices, and inspire the youth to become responsible stewards of nature through collective action and participation in greening initiatives.
This meaningful undertaking was made possible through the collaboration and support of the City Agriculture Office of Tagum City, whose partnership greatly contributed to the success of the activity.

The Department of Computing Education (DCE) successfully conducted the ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ on ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐จ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ Training participated in by the selected faculty members of Laureta National High School last April 18, 2026 (1st Session) and the assessment day last May 16, 2026 (2nd session).
This meaningful engagement aimed to enhance the participantsโ digital competencies and strengthen their knowledge and skills in utilizing Microsoft applications effectively in teaching, learning, and administrative tasks.
Through collaborative discussions and hands-on activities, the participants were empowered with practical techniques and updated technological competencies relevant to todayโs educational environment.

NSTPLYMPICS 2026: Ignite the Flame, Unite the Game
The successful conduct of NSTPLYMPICS 2026 has showcased the spirit of camaraderie, teamwork, and leadership among NSTP students of UMTC. This remarkable event brought together participants from different clusters in a celebration of athleticism and cooperation.
From thrilling games and intense competitions to fun-filled activities and unforgettable moments, NSTPLYMPICS 2026 became a platform where talents were discovered, friendships were strengthened, and values of discipline and unity were practiced.
Congratulations to all winners and participants! May the lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship continue beyond the playing field.

Bridging the digital gap through knowledge and innovation!
The Computer Engineering Program successfully conducted a Community Extension activity on โFundamentals of Software Use and Installationโ for the residents, barangay officials, and staff of Brgy. Magugpo South.
The training was made even more impactful through the expertise of our invited trainers, Engr. Adel Monette Rivera and Engr. Louie Marisse Delideli, who generously shared their knowledge and guided participants throughout the sessions.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated faculty members and student-officers whose hard work, coordination, and commitment made this activity possible. Your efforts truly contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative.
This initiative aimed to enhance digital literacy by equipping participants with essential skills in using and installing software, empowering them to become more efficient, productive, and confident in navigating todayโs technology-driven environment.
Through this training, the program continues its commitment to community development by sharing expertise and fostering lifelong learning among local stakeholders.
