Some dreams may still feel distant, but every little step is proof that weโ€™re no longer where we used to be.

Progress isnโ€™t always loud. Sometimes, itโ€™s simply realizing how far youโ€™ve come while still finding the courage to keep going.

When did friendship become something we had to schedule?

There was a time when seeing your friends did not require a plan. You simply saw each other because you were in the same classroom, sharing the same days and routines.

Then life happened.

Graduation came. New schools. New responsibilities. New friends. New priorities.

And suddenly, the people who once knew every little detail about your life became people you had to make time for. Those you used to see every day are now faces you only get to see through their stories. You start telling each other, โ€œWe can meet up once a month,โ€ thinking that would be enough to stay connected. But somehow, even that becomes difficult.

Messages become less frequent, plans get cancelled, and conversations that once lasted for hours become simple โ€œHi, are you okay?โ€ followed by an โ€œIโ€™m okay,โ€ and then the conversation ends there. Not because you no longer care, but because life just became busy.

And that is when you begin to wonder: When did we stop being as close as we used to be?

Growing apart doesn't always mean a friendship has ended. Sometimes, it simply means accepting that things are no longer the way they used to be. We can't always have the same schedules, routines, or time for each other. But we can still choose to care. We can still be friends, even from afar.

One day, you may meet again and realize that the years apart did not erase everything. The conversations might feel different, and you may have stories the other knows nothing about. But there will still be that familiar feeling:

I know you.

And perhaps that is enough.

Because not everyone who walks away from the same road is someone we have lost. And someday, when everyone's schedules finally allow it, we will sit around the same table again, laughing about the old days and everything that happened while we were apart.

Until then, we can let the friendship rest where it isโ€”not forgotten, just changed as we grow.

And for that, we can still be grateful.

Life is full of opportunities that challenge us to step beyond our comfort zones. Sometimes, fear of failure, uncertainty, or the opinions of others keep us from taking the first step. Yet, it is often the chances we hesitate to take that could lead us to our greatest discoveries and growth.

Not every risk will lead to success, but every experience has something to teach us. Give yourself the courage to try, the freedom to make mistakes, and the chance to discover what lies beyond the familiar.

As they say, โ€œYou miss 100% of the shots you donโ€™t take.โ€ Every opportunity you let pass is a possibility left unexplored.

After all, you may never know what youโ€™re capable of until you give yourself a chance.

Whatโ€™s one opportunity youโ€™ve been wanting to take but havenโ€™t tried yet? Share it!

โ€Ž"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
โ€Ž
โ€Ž"I wanna be an engineer"
โ€Ž"I wanna be a "
โ€Ž"I wanna be a nurse"
โ€Ž"I wanna be an architect"
โ€Ž
โ€ŽEvery night, those same familiar phrases are circling in my mind, looping endlessly like a scratched record. But those "I want to be's" aren't mine, they belong to my classmates. Whenever someone asks about my future, I simply shrug and answer, "I don't know yet." In an instant, the room falls into a silence louder than any words.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI study, I survive, and I keep pushing forward. Yet one day, while at loss in my own thoughts, a quiet voice echoed from somewhere in a distant saying, "What for?" It hit me with sudden weight. Really, what for? Itโ€™s almost ironic that Iโ€™ve been fighting so hard without knowing what Iโ€™m actually fighting for. My path feels like early morning fog โ€” thick, blurry, and uncertain.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThey expect you to have a plan simply because you've reached an age where you can decide for yourself. But my answer remains "I don't know," because that is the truth. No matter how far I've come, I still haven't found a dream to call my own. I envy those who walk with complete certainty, wishing I could trade places with them. When will my own future finally become clear? People love to say "your future is in your hands," but when you have no direction, life feels like wandering blindly through a crowded circus.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAnd yet, perhaps thatโ€™s completely okay. Itโ€™s okay to still be figuring things out.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽEventually, I realized that life isn't a race toward a finish line. Whether you find your path early, midway, or later in life, you can still reach where you are meant to be. Believe, catch your breath, and consider each choice carefully. In time, clarity won't rush to meet youโ€”it will arrive slowly, but surely.

โ€ŽWhat is more important than showing up, even when you least feel like it?
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAssignments, quizzes, activities , exams, and other school works can be overwhelming. Sometimes, the exhaustion makes us want to leave everything behind, walk away, and never look back. To find the meaning of true rest, we often encounter ourselves facing an even greater worthy opponent, fear.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWhat is it that actually scares us? Is it the fear of rejection? Or is it simply the anxiety of taking the first step and thinking that we might get it all wrong?
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBut honestly, being tired or afraid is okay and normal but remember that you don't have to prove yourself to anyone who doesn't value you. Don't let your efforts impress the world rather than serve your own growth. Don't let your mind pull you under because at the end of the day, no one is coming to save you except you.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽSo dress up, show up, and live fully โ€” even when uncertainty steps into the room. Keep moving when youโ€™re exhausted, and when the day is done, pat yourself on the back and say, "Iโ€™m proud of you for standing up when you had every reason to quit."
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAbove all, do it scared. There is no shame in taking action with a shaking hand. Surely, you gave your best and mistakes are proof that you had the courage to try.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽTrying isn't about perfection โ€” itโ€™s about growth. Every attempt makes you stronger and sharper. Show up. Do it tired. Do it scared. Don't let the shadow of "I should have tried" haunt you later. Regret is born from not doing it, so never let your fears outweigh your desire to become better for yourself.

Celebrating the dedication, passion, and invaluable contributions of educators, Arriesgado College Foundation, Inc. (ACFI) marked its World Teachersโ€™ Day celebration on October 5 at the Bonifacio Campus Covered Court.

The clinical instructors, faculty, and staff gathered for the celebration, joined by officers from various student clubs and the ACFI Student Executive Council (ASEC), in a collective expression of appreciation for the educators who continue to inspire and shape the ACFI community.

Furthermore, the culmination served as a meaningful tribute to ACFIโ€™s teaching personnel, whose continued commitment and passion remain integral to the institutionโ€™s mission of shaping future generations.

โ€ŽCertificates, medals, trophies, honors, and acknowledgments โ€” I had them since I was in grade school. Looking back, itโ€™s an impressive pile, and standing there receiving them always felt intensely fulfilling, like every ounce of effort had paid off. I was always present in every competition back then, whether it was a quiz bee, a spelling bee, journalism, or essay writing, if there was a stage, I was on it.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽExperiencing the thrill of winning when your hard work pays off is surreal. But winning comes with another price, it is a cost people rarely talk about.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe expectations are suffocating โ€” like trying to breathe in a thin, and polluted air. Itโ€™s no longer about how many medals I brought home, itโ€™s about the crushing realization that I cannot always be at the top of my game. How do I explain to everyone that Iโ€™m actually just average and not an expert? Or as we say in Tagalog, "marunong lang ako, hindi magaling."
โ€Ž
โ€ŽI know how things work, but I haven't mastered any of them. Itโ€™s ironic, right? everyone assumes you're going to excel at everything you touch, but unaware of the quiet battle you're fighting inside. Itโ€™s the exhausting pressure of being viewed as the best when, in reality, you're just an average student working overtime to keep up with your own reputation.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽA jack of all trades, master of none โ€” thatโ€™s who I really am. I used to live for the applause, but Iโ€™ve learned that not every crowd is worth pleasing. I have knowledge of many things, but expertise in none. Growing up is realizing that you're not made to master everything, being able to know just one thing is already enough โ€” or is it?
