𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞: 𝐁𝐔𝐊𝐒𝐔 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬

The inaugural day of intramurals 2023 at Bukidnon State University - Talisayan Campus unfolded on November 8, defying the overcast weather. Under the theme "Where Every Athlete Finds Their Inner Champion," the day marked a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and unyielding determination. The participating teams showcased their prowess, setting a spirited tone for the entire event and embodying the essence of true champions.

The program began with a vibrant parade in which the district teams were introduced while waving and presenting their district banners with enthusiasm. Leading the march were the PNP-Talisayan, who were followed in order of precedence by the BFP-Talisayan at the back, faculty and staff, committees, district fishing, district technology, district masonry, and district luxury (The Intramurals team drew inspiration from the diverse domains of the Hunger Games districts, incorporating elements from Fishing, Luxury, Masonry, and Technology.)

Mr. Jesie Llido, the Sports Coordinator, took charge of leading the opening ceremony, where he distinguished himself by imparting a message to all athletes. Regardless of the outcome, whether in victory or defeat, he emphasized the importance of each athlete striving to be the greatest version of themselves. The honorable Mayor Rico T. Taray encouraged the students to savor each moment of his inspirational speech. Cheers and yells filled the air as they expressed their gratitude to Talisayan's very supportive mayor, who provided food and snacks to all students and faculties.

The defending champion, the district technology, and the campus head, Mr. Bernard A. Monteron, led the torch-lighting ceremony, which marked the formal start of the BUKSU Talisayan Campus Intramurals 2023.

Screams and yells of support from the districts for their representatives filled the air as the banner racing got underway. The audience went wild, yelling the names of their districts as the two districts—technology and fishing—became fierce rivals for first place. But in the end, district technology is crowned the victor. District Masonry came in fourth, District Luxury came in third, and District Fishing came in second. Subsequently, authority was granted to Mr. Joelrey Jr. A. Cinco, the SAS Coordinator, at the Oath of Committees and the Oath of Sportsmanship. For every athlete, he highlights the importance of good sportsmanship.

The opening of Intramurals 2023 was indeed a total excitement for all students because they had awaited and prepared for it for a long time. Despite the differences in districts, the BukSUans from the Talisayan Campus unite and prove that there is only one BukSUan.
